Trying to figure out which Sims 4 mods are broken after the latest game update? 💗 If your game suddenly has Last Exceptions, missing interactions, broken careers, Build Mode problems, or mods that no longer work correctly, an outdated mod may be the cause.

The current Sims 4 update is Patch 1.127, released on August 25, 2026. Several mods have since been confirmed broken, while many popular mods have already been updated or cleared for the current patch.

DanitySimmer – Fashion Designer

The Fashion Designer mod currently has a confirmed problem with the task that asks your Sim to style another Sim in Create-A-Sim. The mod has received updates for Patch 1.127, but this particular feature is still listed as broken.

Dezeerios – Love & Simoleons: Choose a Money Style

Love & Simoleons: Choose a Money Style is currently generating a Last Exception when using the Argue About Spending interaction. Additional tuning errors may also affect parts of the mod.

DramaEngine – Telenovela Townies

The Drama Engine – Telenovela Townies mod is currently listed as broken because it can trigger ModGuard.

Gauntlet101010 – NPC High School Years Careers & NPC Definitions

The August 31 update of NPC High School Years Careers and NPC Definitions is still reported broken when used with the Royalty expansion content.

MadeByExio – Ultimate Decades Assistant

Ultimate Decades Assistant is currently triggering ModGuard when reloading. The mod also has tuning errors that may cause additional gameplay problems.

klimter Trait Mods

Several updated klimter traits still contain tuning or Mod Constructor errors that may interfere with normal mod behavior.

Affected traits currently include Ethereal, Extreme Traits, Hazy, Isolated Creep, Malicious, More Social Traits, Nostalgic, Planetary Traits, Sunblind, Sunset Lover, and Vitality.

Lemonadesuyo x Lemonette – Pastry Chef Career

The Pastry Chef Career currently has a progression issue at Level 2. Instead of receiving the expected promotion, Sims can continue receiving raises.

lilmurphy21 – Fruit Lover Trait

The updated Fruit Lover Trait / More Fruits currently contains tuning errors that may interfere with how the trait functions.

Lily-Valley – Ultimate Dancer Career

The September 13 update of Ultimate Dancer is still experiencing career-related problems, including blank text for paid time off and some career pop-ups.

LuSimLaStars – Unicorn Adventures

Unicorn Adventures currently has missing interactions and remains listed as broken for the current patch.

matun02 – Relationship Favorites

The Relationship Favorites mod can currently trigger ModGuard when selecting favorites or opening the mod’s pie menu.

Zerbu – All Worlds Are Residential

Even after its August 26 update, All Worlds Are Residential is still listed as broken. It can generate a UI exception and may interfere with saving in Build Mode.

🏠 Broken Sims 4 Build/Buy CC

Regular furniture and decorative CC usually survives game patches better than script mods, but functional Build/Buy objects can still break when the game changes the systems they rely on.

maru – Functional Tabletop Mirror for Make-Up

The Functional Tabletop Mirror for Make-Up is currently not functioning as described.

Ravasheen – Easy Peasy Lumen Squeezy Hidden Lights

The Easy Peasy Lumen Squeezy Hidden Lights are currently not becoming invisible correctly in Live Mode.

SixamCC – Parisian Sweet Corner Pastry Cart

The Parisian Sweet Corner Pastry Cart, previously called the Parisian Shop Cart, is currently not functioning correctly even when its required tuning mod is installed.

Snowhaze – Animated Rain and Snow

Animated Rain and Snow currently has several Build/Buy problems. It may require MoveObjects to place, can become invisible in Build Mode after placement, and may not appear correctly as an in-game object.

🗑️ Sims 4 Mods That Are Obsolete or Unsupported

Broken and obsolete are not exactly the same thing. An obsolete mod is usually no longer needed because the game itself now includes the fix or feature. An unsupported mod is no longer being maintained by its creator.

Current obsolete or unsupported listings include little More Useful LoadingTips by bloombatter, Moments That Matter by bunni, the no-icons version of Easy Outfit Switch by DanaellaSims, several older midnitetech mods, and Simulation Lag Fix by SrslySims.

If a mod is officially retired or obsolete, removing it is usually safer than continuing to use an old version indefinitely.

✅ Popular Sims 4 Mods That Have Been Updated

Not every major mod is broken. Several popular downloads have already received Patch 1.127 updates.

MC Command Center

MC Command Center has been updated to version 2026.5.0. If you are using an older MCCC version, replace the old files rather than installing the new version on top of them.

UI Cheats Extension

UI Cheats Extension was reupdated to version 1.59.1 after Patch 1.127. Older versions should be removed before installing the current one.

Lot 51 Core Library

Lot 51 Core Library is currently listed as cleared for Patch 1.127. Remember that clearing the library itself does not automatically mean every mod that depends on it is compatible.

XML Injector

The current XML Injector is also listed as cleared. You generally do not need a separate copy of XML Injector for every mod that requires it.

⚠️ Custom Careers Need Extra Attention

Custom careers have had additional problems since an earlier 2026 patch. Careers still using older 64-bit career tunings can produce errors and may even disappear during gameplay.

Because of that, do not assume a custom career is safe simply because your game loads normally. Check whether the creator has released an updated version for the current game.

❓ What If My Mod Is Not on the Broken List?

A mod not appearing on a broken list does not automatically mean it is compatible. It may simply not have been tested yet, or the creator may not be covered by the tracker.

If a creator has not specifically cleared or updated the mod after a major patch, use it cautiously and check the creator’s Patreon, Tumblr, CurseForge, website, or other official download page for current status information.

🔧 How to Find a Broken Sims 4 Mod

If your game starts acting strangely after an update, first remove the entire Mods folder temporarily and delete localthumbcache.package. Launch the game without mods and check whether the problem still happens.

If the problem disappears without mods, your next step is the 50/50 method. Put half of your Mods folder back into the game and test again. Continue dividing the group that causes the problem until you identify the broken file.

Always test on a backup or disposable save when troubleshooting. Avoid saving over your main household while testing missing or broken gameplay mods.

🚫 Don’t Immediately Blame Your CC

Hair, clothes, shoes, furniture, and other regular package CC are often less likely to break than script-heavy gameplay mods, but they can still develop problems when EA changes CAS or Build/Buy systems.

If the issue is a broken UI, missing menus, failed interactions, repeated Last Exceptions, or game systems not loading correctly, check script mods and UI mods first.

🛡️ Be Careful Where You Download Sims 4 Mods

Broken mods are not the only thing players need to watch for. The Sims 4 modding community has also dealt with malicious uploads and malware. Download mods from the creator’s official page or trusted mod-hosting sites whenever possible.

Do not disable a protection mod simply because another download tells you to. A mod that asks you to remove security or protection tools should be treated as a warning sign.
