3 New Sims 4 Gameplay Mods | PlumPay, Welcome Home & Diving
Looking for fresh Sims 4 gameplay mods that actually add something new to your saves? 💗 These three recent releases cover completely different parts of everyday gameplay, from shopping and family interactions to a much bigger underwater exploration system.
First up is PlumPay by ThatsSoJordy, a modern payment mini mod that lets Sims use a Tap to Pay-style system while shopping. Sims can also create a PlumPay account and receive perks from certain purchases, making shopping feel a little more like a real payment system instead of Simoleons simply disappearing in the background.
Next is Welcome Home by Annasiims, a smaller family and relationship mod focused on those everyday moments that The Sims 4 usually skips. Partners can welcome each other home, parents can ask children about school, and Sims can have more personal conversations about work and difficult situations.
The third download is much larger. Underwater Diving by SpinningPlumbobs creates an entire diving gameplay system using special markers, animations, objects, collectibles, fish, caves, oxygen mechanics, mermaids, sharks, and custom underwater areas.

💳 1. PlumPay Mini Mod by ThatsSoJordy
PlumPay introduces a new Tap to Pay-style shopping system for Sims.
The interaction can be used at several types of businesses and shopping locations, including cafés, retail lots, market stalls, sales tables, Cottage Living shops, small businesses, and restaurants.
Sims can also optionally create their own PlumPay account through the Shopping section of their phone. After signing up, the Sim receives a new trait and can deactivate PlumPay later if you decide you no longer want the account.
💰 Cashback & Discounts
Sims with a PlumPay account can receive Simoleons back from compatible purchases along with purchase-related moodlets.
Restaurant dining and retail-lot purchases work differently: those locations do not give the normal Simoleon-back reward, but PlumPay can provide a discount instead.
✨ Two PlumPay Versions
The creator added a second version on October 27, 2026.
The regular PlumPay package uses the original cashback system, while PlumPay Realistic lowers Simoleon-back rewards to approximately 1–10 Simoleons.
Install only ONE version. Do not place both PlumPay packages in your Mods folder together.

Required Pack: Business & Hobbies
Business & Hobbies is required because PlumPay currently uses the Ticket Kiosk animation for its Tap to Pay interaction.
The creator also lists City Living, Eco Lifestyle, Get to Work, Dine Out, and Cottage Living as optional. Those packs expand the shopping locations where the related interactions can be used.
PlumPay overrides several purchasing and ordering interactions, so another mod editing those same interactions could conflict with it.
🏠 2. Welcome Home by Annasiims
Welcome Home is a small storytelling mod that adds interactions for greeting partners and family members when they return home.
Instead of a Sim simply walking through the front door after work or school and continuing with their day, family members can have more personal interactions with them.

There are also situational conversations for more difficult workdays. A Sim who has lost their job can tell their partner they were fired.
Sims experiencing burnout can also discuss it with their partner when the appropriate gameplay conditions are met.
👧 Parent & Child Interactions
The mod also adds family interactions such as a child giving their parent a welcome-home hug and a parent asking their child how school went.
That makes Welcome Home especially useful for family saves where you want everyday relationships to feel more connected without installing a huge overhaul.
⚙️ Welcome Home Requirements
The core mod is designed for the Base Game and supports Sims from Child through Elder.
The burnout-related interaction requires Growing Together.
The creator’s current mod-status page lists Welcome Home as compatible with The Sims 4 patch 1.129.39 from October 27, 2026.
🤿 3. Underwater Diving Mod by SpinningPlumbobs
Underwater Diving is easily the largest mod in this roundup.
SpinningPlumbobs created a full diving system inspired by The Sims 3: Island Paradise using special gameplay objects, animations, walkstyles, markers, collectibles, and custom underwater environments.
🌊 Create Your Own Diving Areas
The system uses color-coded starfish markers to tell the game where Sims should begin diving and where underwater gameplay should remain active.
This means you can build your own underwater spaces instead of being restricted to one specific world.
For example, you can create a basement-style underwater area, a mermaid aquarium, a secret cave, or an underwater section beneath a seaside residential lot.
🐠 Underwater Gameplay
Once Sims enter a functioning dive area, they can explore and take part in several underwater activities.
Gameplay includes:
Swimming underwater
Catching fish
Collecting objects
Exploring caves and shipwrecks
Searching for treasure
Interacting with underwater objects
Special spawners can also generate fish, seashells, and even sharks inside diving areas.
🦈 Sharks & Oxygen
Human Sims automatically receive diving gear while underwater and use an oxygen meter.
If their oxygen reaches zero, the Sim can begin drowning, so underwater exploration has an actual gameplay risk instead of functioning only as an animation.
Shark spawners add another danger. Sharks can roam the dive area, attack Sims who get too close, and potentially eat them.
🧜 Mermaid Gameplay
Mermaids do not use the same oxygen limit and can remain underwater indefinitely.
They can sleep underwater, interact with caves, summon dolphins, and use additional underwater behaviors.
The creator also added multiple swim styles for both humans and mermaids.
⚙️ Underwater Diving Requirements
Required: Lot51 Core Library
The main mod is listed as Base Game compatible. SpinningPlumbobs strongly recommends the separate Sea-Nery Stuff set for additional underwater objects and gameplay, but it is not required for the core diving system.
Expanded Mermaids is also optional and adds additional mermaid gameplay when used alongside the diving mod.
The creator’s current download file is dated October 21, 2026. Because The Sims 4 received another patch on October 27, check SpinningPlumbobs’ latest status before installing if you have already updated your game.

📦 Which Mod Should You Download?
These three mods serve very different types of gameplay.
PlumPay is best if you want more realistic shopping and money gameplay.
Welcome Home is ideal for family, romance, and everyday storytelling.
Underwater Diving is the biggest gameplay expansion of the three and is best for players who want exploration, mermaids, custom dive lots, and new activities.
You can install more than one if their requirements are met, but always check creator compatibility information after major Sims 4 patches.
📁 How to Organize These Mods
Since these are gameplay mods rather than normal CAS CC, I recommend giving each creator their own folder:

The Sims 4 received patch 1.129.39 on October 27, 2026.
Welcome Home is currently listed by its creator as compatible with that patch. PlumPay received a new Realistic version on October 27. The latest Underwater Diving download shown on its creator page was updated October 21, so check its current status before using it with the newest game patch.
Whenever you replace or update a gameplay mod, deleting localthumbcache.package before restarting the game can help clear cached mod data.
